Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026
These terms explain how ClaimRight works with you. ClaimRight is operated by Claim Right (operating as ClaimRight), 5309 New Utrecht Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11219. Questions: info@claimrightny.com.
1. What we do
ClaimRight is a claims and billing advocacy service. We review your case, organize your documents, and communicate with companies (by email, letter and phone) to dispute bills, appeal denials and request refunds on your behalf.
We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. Nothing we say is a legal opinion. If your matter needs a lawyer, we will tell you, and you are free to hire one at any time.
We do not handle home or property insurance claims, and we never take a percentage of an insurance claim payout. Help with insurance claims is offered for a flat fee only.
2. Free review and authorization
Sending us your case for a free review does not create any obligation for you or for us. After the review we email you our honest view, a plan and the price. We only contact a company for you after you approve the plan and sign a written authorization. That authorization covers the company and matter named in it, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
3. No guarantee
We can’t guarantee any outcome. Companies make their own decisions, and some disputes are lost even when they are handled well. What we commit to is doing the work carefully, persistently and on time.
4. You stay in control
We never accept a settlement, sign anything or agree to pay anything for you without your approval. You agree to give us accurate information and to tell us if the company contacts you directly.
5. Fees
The case review is free. If you want us to take your case, we quote one flat fee (typically $150–$300) in writing. You pay it up front once you approve the quote, before work starts. Because you are paying for the work and not a result, flat fees are not refunded if the company says no. If we decide not to start work after you have paid, we refund you in full.
The fee for your case is always confirmed in writing before we start. Payments are processed by our card payment provider; we do not store your full card number.
6. Ending our work
You can stop our work at any time by emailing us. We may also decline or stop a case, for example if it needs a lawyer or a licensed adjuster, or if information turns out to be inaccurate. We will tell you why.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to our services is limited to the fees you paid us for that case. We are not responsible for decisions made by the companies we contact.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your case is the one in effect when you approved our plan.
